Christmas ( and New Year)is not commercialised to the same degree as in England. You do not see shoppers loaded with carrier bags struggling through the shopping centres. The shops have extra items, a lot of expensive chocolates, expensive wines and foods but not really many junk items. The shops do get busy but only for a short period. Christmas decorations range form subtle to over the top, as in England, the main difference is that they will remain until Easter !!
